Summer Tea Party Planning

Now that summer has arrived, don't put away your hot tea things. Keep them out and enjoy them. The fun and relaxing days of summer are perfect times to enjoy a nice cup of tea. You may think of it as too hot for hot tea, but you may be surprised at how refreshing a hot cup of tea can be on a hot summer day.

Having a tea party on your back deck, patio or porch that has been charmingly decorated with a CountryPorch look is the perfect summer entertainment. You can skip all the hassle of a barbeque or summer luncheon and entertain guests with a delightful mid-morning or mid-afternoon tea party.

Even you absolutely can't handle hot tea during the summer, think of brewing up the perfect pot of tea, then chilling it for you and your guests. The flavor of brewed tea makes a much better drink when chilled than serving up things like lemonade or soda. We're not talking about traditional iced tea, but chilled tea. If you insist on using ice cubes, make sure your tea is already chilled so that the ice doesn't melt too quickly and dilute the flavor of the tea.

Your foods will be light, simple cold finger sandwiches followed by sweet cool cookies. What could be more fun? You and your guests will have great memories of your summer teaparty for a long time to come.
