Pumpkins Teapots and Fall Tea Parties

With the arrival of Fall, we start looking towards Halloween and Thanksgiving. Which also means it's time to get your pumpkin teapots. The perfect complement for your Fall tea parties, pumpkin teapots make sharing the fun more enjoyable. Whether you're a hostess who goes all out for your parties, or just enjoy celebrating the seasons, you will want to add a pumpkin or Fall-themed teapot to your home.

Fall Tea Parties

After the enjoyment of outdoor tea parties, it's time to bring the party indoors. Your party and home decorations will represent the colors of Autumn. That's usually the changing leaves colors - reds, oranges, yellows. The final harvest for most farmers are also represented in these colors. And pumpkins make up a big part of that final harvest.

This is a time to use a pumpkin teapot. Pair it with solid colored tea cups in a color that picks up something in your teapot or decorations. Like red, orange, even green for the pumpkin vine.

Your tea choices should also reflect the season. Apple and cinnamon teas make great choices for your guests. Don't be afraid to go with darker teas. They warm up colder guests very nicely. Of course, you'll want to brush up on how to brew the perfect pot of tea.

If children will be part of your tea party, don't forget to help them enjoy it too, with their own little tea sets

Use Pumpkin Teapots for Decorating, too

Even if you're not planning a Fall Tea Party, pumpkin teapots make a great decorating item. Here are some suggestions for you.
  • Set a pumpkin tea pot in the center of your table. Arrange some silk Autumn leaves around it.
  • Create a grouping on a prominent shelf or furniture top that includes your pumpkin tea pot and several complementary tea cups around it.
  • Place your pumpkin tea pot on a side table with a single tea cup and cloth napkin next to it, as though preparing for a small tea service.
Whether it's a Fall tea party, or decorating your kitchen or home for the Autumn season, using a pumpkin tea pot makes good sense.
